UWA longitudinal
scrapers can be installed in all rectangular basins which
are constructed pursuant to din 19 551.
Depending on requirements, the facilities can be provided
with track or trackless operation, with or without a rack
and pinion drive.
The high standard of the UWA technology guarantees an
absolute synchronism and a safe winter operation.
The high degree of automation, e.g. resulting from a
height-adjustable sand and floating matter shield guarantees
an optimal scraping. The plate design which is of
seawater-resistant aluminium or stainless steel, provides
the highest level of corrosion protection and guarantees a
maximum serviceable life of the plant.
The individual components meet the high requirements of DIN
19569, especially with regard to the load and material
requirements which are to be taken into account. The
travelling speeds are also designed in accordance with DIN.
The running gears are so designed that they withstand the
highest load, have the lowest maintenance requirements and
guarantee a trouble-free operation.

UWA has accepted the challenge to provide technology form
the mechanical treatment of sewage which is to be
permanently improved. In accordance with DIN 19551, Part 3,
scraping facilities designed for the most diverse tasks and
developed further development so that they are always of the
latest state of the art. The tend-setting style is ideally
suitable for tailor-made problem solutions. All of the UWA
scrapers can be fitted with automatic floating matter and
floor scraping shield.
The highest level of economic viability thanks to a
perfected solid technology and the resulting minimum in
maintenance expenditure, are the most distinctive features
of the UWA plants. UWA offers an automatic spraying system
with mobile spraying arms and a pump (model LW) for use in
rain basins. The UWA specialists provide advice on the
possibility of installing components which can be put to a
customised use.
The scrapers in the form of a plate bridge are available in
aluminium, stainless steel or galvanized steel.
UWA provides band type scrapers in all required designs for
use in rectangular preliminary and subsequent settling
basins, especially with chains and plastic scraper beams.
Components which are subjected to high loads are made of
stainless steel. |

UWA supplies scraper devices in the form of sludge scrapers
with a decentral RS pumping station or a suction scraper
with a RS pumping station integrated on the bridge, whereby
the round subsequent settling basis with a horizontal bottom
is without a doubt the most economical solution for suction
scrapers.
As a result of the year-long experience in the development
and production of round scrapers and a permanent innovation,
UWA is able to supply mechanical engineering technology with
decisive advantages:
- optimal degree of separation
- immediate sludge recirculation
- high oxygen content of the RS
- no sludge buoyancy
As with all UWA plants, a solid processing down to the
smallest detail is guaranteed with regard to the scrapers.
UWA permanently conducts its own quality control inspections
during production. The scraper bridge comprises a robust
plate design in hot-dip galvanized steel, aluminium or even
completely in stainless steel, including safety gratings.
The drive is guaranteed by a running gear which is screwed
onto the scraper and a high-performance back-geared motor.
Operating disturbances caused by obstacles on the bearing
surface of the basin wall is avoided by the stripping edges.
The electrical equipment of all UWA plants are of the latest
state of the art and is always in the IP 55 system of
protection. A weatherproof switch cabinet with well arranged
operating elements is situated on the scraper bridge. |
