Mobile screen rakes / filter stepped rakes / screw screens
|
|

|
Technical innovations
and improvements are designed so that they can be
subsequently integrated in the existing plant without
difficulty.
We offer you
• mobile screen rakes
• filter stepped rakes
• screw screens
for the mechanical pre-treatment of the sewage at the sewage
treatment plant inlet which are tailor-made to your
requirements.
The entire plant is made of stainless steel in order to
provide an optimal protection against corrosion.
The plants from UWA meet
the high demands as regards
- a long-life quality
- precision and safety
- low maintenance expenditure and operating costs.
The mechanical engineering is completed by an automatic
control system.

Crank-rocker classifier |
|
 |
UWA sand classifiers are used to separate solid
matter-liquid mixtures in treatment plants.
UWA engineers developed a motion which guarantees a maximum
separation of all granular substances. The step-back
movement of the classifying scoops provide an optimal
washing effect. This enables the sewage to be treated in the
downstream purification levels without disturbance.
The classifier can be fitted with panel heating for outdoor
use. The adjustable classifying stages enable the gap width
and therefore the grain size of the material which is to be
separated to be exactly adapted during operation. This is a
considerable advantage when compared to worms.
The crank-rocker classifier from UWA can be installed in a
prefabricated concrete gutter (model KB) or in a stainless
steel trough as a compact station (model K). |

Faecal sludge receiving station |
|
 |
The fully closed faecal sludge receiving station (F) serves
to pre-treat the faecal sludge by sifting the
non-decomposable coarse and foreign matter. UWA developed
the model FS with an integrated, ventilated sand trap for
direct delivery to the biological or septic tower, as
stipulated in Sewage Engineering Association (ATV) worksheet
A123. The compact design of the station means that it is
also suitable for retrofitting in existing plants. The
integrated UWA mobile screen with changeable mesh sizes
enables the station to be adapted to all requirements. Both
of the stations (models F and FS) are directly charged from
the tanker and are equipped with a control system which
automatically controls the entire process up to the
discharge housing.
Process engineering advantages are:
- optimal separation of non-decomposable matter
- avoidance of obstructions
- improved quality of the excess sludge
- highest level of operating safety
The stations which are of a tried and tested stainless steel
design can also be equipped with an automatic faecal sludge
identification plant including registering device.

Rakings washing press |
|
 |
The machine compacts the matter which has been separated by
the rake and at the same time washes the organic components
out of the rakings. The washing water with the dissolved
organic matter is returned to the treatment process. The
transport pipe can be adapted to the required transport
route in diverse ways. The returning of the organic matter
to the treatment plant enables it to be biologically
decomposed. The electric heating in the hopper and the
transport pipe (option) enable the machine to be operated
outdoors. The organic matter is washed out by the water
which is sprayed onto it under high pressure. Service water
can be used as washing water. |
